Today the fanboy in me squealed like a pig rolling in mud.

Transformers = awesome.  Freaking spectacle to say the least.  Absolutely thrilled me to bits.  I loved the cartoon and the mostimportant part they got right was Optimus Prime.  Optimus, I bow before thee!  Same voice, same presence, same nobility, he's the man.  I love Transformers Generation 1 and I love this movie.  The special effects were absolutely off the chart.  I saw it a few hours ago and I'm still buzzing over it.  Pirates 3 was great, Spidey 3 was pretty good, but Transformers smashes them.  I hope it kicks royal butt.  Bring on the sequel! 

Just wow.  And they got the scale just right.  I never thought they would do this license justice, but whoopee is all I can say.  Popcorn flick all the way.  If I had to nitpick, it would be that maybe they could've ramped up the personalities of the other autobots and Starscream.  Bumblebee and Optimus got a lot of screentime, but they should've given some more to Jazz and Ironhide so we would get to know their personalities more.  But that's just nitpicking.  This felt like Transformers and hearing the real Optimus on the big screen was just fanboy heaven.  5 freaking fat cows for you, Optimus!  5 freaking cows!

Excuse me while I go and dust off my Transformers DVDs and become a little kid again.
