So what did you guys think about the new chapter???
I loved it! I was anticipating it for a while.
I like the way the story is progressing: Claire & Dade, Lucas, Marty Lee a.k.a. Psycho Nuts, Brad& Josh ...I'm loving it all! |

That ranks up there with the last 16 words of the season 3 finale of Battlestar Galactica with the use of Bob Dylan's "All Along The Watchtower."

Ty Im still not sure where this is all going, cause I was sure you made it clear he would not be coming back. You had me convinced but leaving the chapter on that note, and not giving us some pure raw Storm in the next installment would be a cruel cruel thing that would merit the making of an 8th sin :P

I never knew Bob Dylan had done All along the watchtower, I have "The Best of Jimi Hendrix", and that is my fav song on the albumn. There you go SD, some more info on my taste in music. The oldest band I have songs from is the beatles. Well technically the beach boys, but I listen to a song by the beatles alot more often. I love that guitar rift in Hendix's version, 12 strings of pure sex, but then again Ive never heard Bob Dylans. |

Ok, that surprised me.
Storm?
Uh, wow. That was a powerful chapter on so many different levels. I'm impressed as always, but so many relationships are being tested right now. Marcel and Lucas, Dade and Marty Lee, Claire and Dade, Josh and Brad, Jacob and Dade. Wow. And the Stormy One is going to make an appearance.

I knew it! I always imagined Storm meeting the rest of them at the Nationals! I hope he gets to kick Dade's ass in the tournament. And I think that Lucas's jaw dropped that he tasted the floor. I just didn't expect it to be soon, but the title really did give it away though.
Attica, I guess I really do know nothing about rock music. Most rock songs I know are contemporary. There really is a lot I should find about the genre. I really prefer the standards.

You knew it, huh? Lol. But Storm hasn't even been seen. Just mentioned. Does that qualify as an appearance? Muahahhaa, but yeah, I've been waiting for this moment a while. Confession time indeed, I love Storm and I miss writing him, andI was always going to mention him here at this point. If I had it my way, I would've thrown out my original Season 5 plans and found a way to bring him in from the start, but I stuck to my guns and now here he is. But for how long and whether he actually is 'seen', well, you'll just have to wait and find out.
I really hope you guys enjoyed this chapter, and I've been literally chomping at the bit waiting to hear what everyone thought. Pretend I'm not an author, but golly, I'm so glad Storm is back! Even if he hasn't even been seen!

Where do I begin with this chapter? It is almost impossible to believe that 5 seasons in, you are still turning out some of the best writing I have ever read. Storm Front is gripping and has depth that I find lacking in even published works. You deserve to be writing published novels and getting paid for it. You are a master storyteller.
As far as this chapter goes, I have to say I am blown away. The ending left me wishing the next chapter was just a click away. FINALLY Storm has come back to the story he should never have left. Don't get me wrong, I understand your reasons for his departure but he is still the main character for me and I for one am hoping you are not going to relegate him to guest status or even worse, a cameo. That would be a disservice to not necessarily your fans, but your story. You've proven you can write without Storm, so can you bring him back now?
Josh's actions were stupid but I suppose he could be forgiven. I don't like how Brad and Josh's friendship has all but gone. Marcel is the greatest character in Storm Front and if he leaves again, he will be missed. Claire is such a realistic character. Dade has unfortunately become a bad boy to me and I'm saddened by his descent but he has hope to redeem himself. I do notice he is making an effort. One thing though. Poppet? Marcel will never live that down. I can't believe it's been five seasons and I still feel like I'm learning about one of my favourite characters.
This chapter left me smiling because finally Storm has returned to Storm Front. Can't wait for the next, Ty.

So Ty, you pretty much know my thoughts on the chapter so far. However, I'll give some of my thoughts for the benefit of everyone else.
As I said earlier, I like Marty Lee, so his development is really pleasing to me. Not only is he showing some more consideration and almost love for others, but more importantly to me, he is doing it without losing his original character. When all that shit happened in Seasons 3 and 4, Storm became docile and spiritless almost, which always disappointed me a lot, since I used to admire him so much for the qualities he showed in the first seasons. Similarly, when Brad was cast into the gutter, I hated his reaction. He didn't even try to get back up, not even in an honourable way. That's why I love the way he's growing again now. Dade, until now, has focused solely on Claire and the baby, which is detrimental I think. It's good to finally see him putting his life into something else as well. But Marty Lee never stops being an asshole, and in a strange way, I like that. I like his attitude and his humour, and though he is terrible to people, I like that it isn't changing. I know where I stand with him, he's honest and reliable.
Of course I'm thrilled that Storm is back, but with all this Storm-hype, let's not forget Sarah! How do you guys think she will play into all this in the coming chapters?

Oh and on the musical note, I always thought 'All Along the Watchtower' was by Hendrix originally, since he's written so many song that have been constantly covered (eg I can think of a load of people who have covered 'Fire'). However, I stand corrected. Great song, regardless.
